Meet The Artist

Swiss-born Erika emigrated to Australia in 1970 where she settled, met her husband Walter and owned a Swiss Restaurant. Her childhood memories recall a precious time of love, laughter and happiness. Being surrounded by beautiful paintings every day instills a love of the beauty of art that can never be forgotten.

In December, 1987 she attended her first painting class and never looked back. Through recreating those memories and designing the special pieces her husband makes for her she happily recaptures her beloved past to share with you.

Erika has been involved with the Society of Decorative Painters since 1992 and has participated not only as a member but also has served on various committees and on the board of directors.

Her involvement also entails conference exhibitor, Teacher and Demonstrator. She has been juried into six Decorative Arts Collection Awards competitions, granting her title of Decorative Arts Collection Artist (DAC).

Erika is also a member of the Pike's Peak Chapter in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

These days she divides her time between Australia and the USA travel-teaching and attending conventions. Her teaching introduced her to Japan, Portugal and England
